I'm trying to isolate a frame from a sequence and insert it masked with a offset (both time and space) over that same sequence emulating an enhanced dustbuster node. I've tried all the time operations but somehow I just cant get it to have a starting offset in time. Only thing that worked somehow is to have a constant black then append the frame then add some more constant black after (becouse some nodes get confused when one of their inputs gets undefined).

Any suggestions?

sounds like you should be able to do this with the Retime node.
set the input range to the frame you want to use (i.e. 50 for both first and last frame) then use the output range to specify when you want to see the frame in your comp.
Set the "before" and "after" knob to black to make it disappear on all other frames.

...and be aware of the time operation bug. If you get strange behaviour when rendering in Nuke, render from command line. Ran into that problem my self and there are a couple of threads about it here.

Happy timetraveling! =)
