hey looks good man! nice effect!
one thing i noticed.. there seems to be a consistent black line at the edge of the right leg that really pops out. Maybe try contracting and/or softening the shape a bit to make it less obvious.
Alex
p.s. if you don't understand what im trying to point out take a look at the screenshot im providing.

Any more opinions on the leg edge would be welcome, does it look right or stick out - I think i'm going roto-blind spending so much time lookin at it :scorching

Really nice, I saw your WIP thingy so I know what was going to happen, but if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't notice the rotowork!
And once again, nice car! How much do you want for it? :)

heheh, that's nice to hear cheers - i've been playing with it quite alot, but I only notice the errors now - I think the (bad) compression helps a little, the uncompressed version shows a couple of colour problems a little more, but that's encouraging to hear!

It's a bit double-edged trying to get work in vfx as all the studios are in london so i'll probably have to sell it if I do get a job!:(

He, okey, lets hope you don't get a job then! hehe.
One thing that I noticed is the transition which shows the car, was the little jump intensional? I so, I don't like that effect. Try doing some distorted signal effect if you know what I mean? A flickering image which lots of grain and skew, which becomes more and more steady.

I know what you mean - it's not intentional as such, it's a biproduct of the way i've done the effect. I've an edge detect on the car shape, which drives a Displace node - i've only got the displace happening in one direction though (I'd ideally like the displace to work outwards from the centre of the car slightly, but don't know how to do that as yet)

why dont you try animating a mask from the center outwards? would that do the trick?

Could do - acutally, I wonder if it'd work if I scaled the Edge Detect up/down... hmm summat to try later once the rest of shot is nailed, cheers for the idea!
Any more comments welcome :happydevi
