I've spent this afternoon wandering around London taking my CV and showreel around to various companies (I would have posted it, but the postal strike slightly limits the effectiveness of that...)

I've just mpeg'd my showreel, and thought I'd post it up on here in case anyone was interested....:

Download it here (http://www.brokenpipefilms.com/hugh/hugh_showreel_compositing_03-11-03.mpg)

Do comment on it, but I can't make any changes at this stage, as it's already gone out!

The text is a bit hard to read, as it was meant for PAL resolution... (this is 368x208 - as close to 16:9 as I could get at this size)

Thanks for sharing Hugh :)
I especially like the day-for-night scene, the only thing I would like to tinker with is the light interaction on the guys' head, feels like it's underneath the light if you know what I mean.

Hmmm - I did think about doing that, and then decided not to as it felt as though the light was actually reflecting off him....

I might just do a very rough very soft roto on his head just to bring the light level on there down a bit (and make it so it looks like it's coming from the other side....)

Thanks for the comment

Unfortunately, I finished my job on monday, and forgot to e-mail some scripts that I was working on to myself...

So I'm gonna have to e-mail them and ask them to e-mail the ones I was working over to me (the latest version of all of the shots on my showreel are there at the moment...)

Just picking up various other shots that I need to work on at the moment
