Hello everyone,
I am trying to complete, the Anemone_by_jalo for 3dsmax, realflow4 Tutorial.
Which comes in PDF from the Next limit realflow website.
{ http://www.nextlimit.com/realflow/te_resources.htm}
So far, I have progressed as far as page 9. I thought, without errors.
But as instructed between Page 9 and 10, after adding gravity daemons.
I went ahead and tried to make my first, test run simulation.
Prior to rotating the gravity daemon for an up direction flow.
My simulation returned without success.
Firstly, I run a ram maximizing software package, which keeps me abreast of what’s going on in my XP.
Well, this package is fast to report; I have only 5 mb of ram available for use, from my usual 1 GB ram.
Then secondly, I get a message in realflow saying "the action requested cannot be completed because of a memory problem" and then, nothing else happens.
I had reasoned that, I might have done something wrong further up the line and so, consequently I repeated the steps as laid out in the PDF. But with the same results.
My only gray areas are that, I could not in 3dmax, eliminate the unnecessary faces from the back of the cube.{top of page 4 PDF}Before exporting it to realflow.
But aside from that, I believe that all my values are as with the tutorial. Which I have followed verbatim. The scene has my imported mesh, a fiber emitter, and a gravity daemon.
So far, I guess I’m stuck. I use a Pentium 4 (3 GHz, 3 GHz) with 1 GB ram, XP service pack 2.
I would welcome any help at all, as I would very much like to move on to page 11.
Of what is my first realflow tutorial.
Thanks and all the best.
