I have an issue maybe someone can help me with. About 2 months ago I bought a Plextor DVD burner and began backing up every project Ive ever done to data DVDs, particularly the targa sequences. All of my footage is now on these DVDs and today when I tried to import a sequence into After Effects 5.5 it gave me an ominous warning ....it read
Warning: After Effects can not parse the output file module
35:40
When I tried to open in Photoshop 7 and Premier 6.....I got the same warning. Each giving a separately worded error....but usually involving "could not parse out put module"
Please someone out there tell me that I havent somehow fried all of my footage.....if need be I can email a sample targa for anyone to try to play with.
thanks

It sounds like you may be out of luck... have you tried to copy them to your HD then importing?
IS it the whole sequence or can you open just one?
Feel free to email me a still... bmulligan@wthr.com

I know I might be grasping at straws here, but have you tried installing the Targa update from Adobe (for PS), then dump all of your targas from your cd onto your drive, then try opening then with PS to see if they work?
Then, if they do, just make an action in PS to resave them maybe?
...sorry... I know, not much help....

Have you tried copying the targa's to your HDD and then opening them?
IT's Straw Grasping, but may help.
Otherwise dude, this is a bad thing
Does anything else screw up when opening from the DVD?

Sweet F.A. I'm sorry
Do your AE Project files open from the DVD?
Also, tell you what, email me (valhallen@maxnet.co.nz) one of those TGAs and I'll try taking a look at the HEX for you

So your project files open and your TGAs don't?!
Very weird ...
Don't knwo anything about that software sorry .. hope it helps, but if the files are toast .. then they're toast.
Have you tried opening thim in something NON-Adobe? IE: ACDSee, Fcheck .. whatever you can find? That's a LONG shot in the dark .. but more info = better chances
