You know you've made it as a Comper when ....
You don't mind rotoscoping so much anymore, cos you know it's "part of the job" and besides, you've become quite good at it.
You spend hours and hours arguing with animators about how you don't really NEED 3d for that ....
Your friends refuse to see movies with you.
You won't buy a DVD unless there's a "Making Of" in the special features
Your "life-partner" knows more about compositing than the juniors in the studio, so they can live with you without going insane
You're proud to be known as the "2d guy/girl"
You spend hours watching large lawn sprinklers, sure that the fade-off on the edges of the water is somehow wrong
When the Matrix came out, you saw it 8 times at the movies and would find your eyes slipping into "bullet time" of their own violition.

The "first" (chrono) three Star Wars movies embarrass you, yet you love Blake's 7
You can sleep when you're dead

You see a fire, and wonder if they used real footage, or whether it was good (or bad?) CG fire.

Have you just spent 24 hours hand comping 1488 frames in photoshop cause you don't know how to do it in C2 .... he he he ... :eek:

As for C2 .. you know that review I wa gonna write? Don;t be surprised if you end up with an Essay on what I did in my summer holidays :)

Yep, and it will be about 45 pages long, with a video, beautifully comped and showing all the VFX Groupies in Bikinis .. and yes, they DO exist .....

Well, I try to keep an eye on what's going on, and I felt that some sanity was needed back in this conversation (didn't really come out in my post, though)
I'm at a very reasonable 2:50 PM at the moment, so not feeling quite as insane as you seem to be....
