We currently have opportunity in our Visual Effects department for a qualified, motivated
VFX Producer who are willing to relocate to Beijing for one year and join us in this amazing adventure.
Summary:
The VFX Producer will be responsible for organizing and maintaining a variety of duties as required by the company.
Responsibilities:
· Analyzes scripts for VFX requirements. This includes drafting detailed shot breakdowns and suggested methodologies to be used for bidding and budgeting.
· Works closely with VFX Supervisors, Co-ordinators and Project Managers to accurately quote departmental resources VFX work.
· Works closely with Sales team to cultivate new relationships and projects.
· Allocates resources to best achieve departmental goals and deadlines.
· Responsible for keeping VFX projects on budget and on schedule and insuring quality control.
· Communicates with staff through regular production meetings, emails, and informal discussions.
· Provides management and clients regular feedback on project progress and production issues. Works with the VFX team to implement effective solutions to any issues that arise.
· Assists in the recruiting, training and development of VFX staff to meet the operational and fiscal requirements of the department.
· Reports project progress on a weekly basis to appropriate managers.
· Responsible for VFX staff vacation, sick and compassionate leave approval.
· Other related duties as required by Production.
Required Skills / Experience:
-Extensive knowledge of visual effects design, production and delivery
-Technical background: understanding and knowledge of digital and analog production procedures and practices, including networks, servers and workstations
-Good communication skills: ability to understand and convey information both verbal and written, both in English and Chinese.
-Proven record of successful project completion
-Ability script breakdown and bid projects
-Minimum of 5 years in managing or coordinating large creative work teams in animation, post production or production.
-Graphics background: understanding and knowledge of 3D and 2D applications.
-Knowledge of current software and hardware used in the visual effects industry
-Strong leadership and client facing skills
-Degree, diploma and/or certificate in applicable technology or visual arts field preferable but not mandatory.
