I was really impressed with the idea and the calibre of work created for the last Challenge, the submissions for the last challenge were very profesional in my mind. I thought the challenge was a good example of work done in the industry. The work that Alim and ChrisV did was excellent. I'm am not as excited about this months Challenge though, and I dont think that I am going to submit anything for this one. This is VFXtalk.com and I guess I dont see the reason for having a Challenge like this one. But hey this is just my opinion and of course I will be following and watching everyones progress.
GoodLuck

first of all, thanks for the props landon.. and i agree that the next challenge is pretty weak. i think that the last challenge really raised the bar on the professionalism of the posts. and now we are lowering it again with this next challenge. i personally think that the site is getting sponsored by disney, so that we all have to go out and buy/watch the movie. no thanks. how about a challenge that applies to visual effects.. maybe you should change the sites adress to simpleeditingtalk.com

Sorry guys, but I just thought it was time for the motion graphics members to have a shot

There is a forum over in the pad for suggesting future VFXChallenges ...

Also, as far as 'editing' goes...where's the challenge in whacking snippets together ??..thats what this one is all about...coming up with somehting different and cool! Anyone can rip a part of the DVD and finish this in an hour...but that would be way boring .. It will be the extra yards that people go for this challenge that will make them stand out.

Anyway, I am sorry if this seems weak, but instead of bagging it, why not get right into it and see what you can do with your 10 seconds a fame and why not suggest something for future VFXChallenges.

Its all about maintaining the VERY positive outlook on things that we preserver here at VFXTalk!

Also, 3Dennis ...can you please repost your submission in this gallery and I will ink your submission file :) http://www.vfxtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=1884

Cheers
