Just a quick question from a comping newbie. I have loaded the source footage in combustion. Chose, the video operator, then deinterlace, then no fields, then merge. is this the proper way to go about this? Also, when it says scale in height by 75% how would i go about that. I'm using the transform controls on the footage and am able to scale it, but it goes out of my work area. Should this happen until i render it? thanks for any tips.

Hi!
you should scale it down to 75% in y because it is anamorphic material, in order to see it correctly.
for deinterlacing i recommend to set it like that: remove fields, method: interpolate. with this method you will lose less detail in your footage. and remember: PAL is lower field first, or in shake even field.
hope that helps
