Hey guys, I'm trying to clean plate my scene which is just footage of a downtown street, theres a few people i need to clean plate out of there and a car that drives by in the scene. The camera footage is a little shakey (i was just holding it in my hand) heres the node structure that im trying to use. my main problem is the camera movements, i cant keep the painted part in sync with the original footage to have a clean plate of it. I've been pulling out my fair the past few days trying to figure out how to do this... but it just keeps coming out the same way --- I was hoping maybe someone could help me out or maybe share some clean plate secrets with me... all ive got are the shake tutorials on it which dont explain much.
thanks for your time.

This isn't software specific, but is the camera suppose to move? Do you have a pan? If its suppose to be a still shot, just take a frame, clean it, and use that as your background. If its a pan, I think it might be easier to track your footage if you stabilize it first. Just my $.02 cents!

Also, if you're after a clean plate and there is camera movement, take a few stills from different points in the move and stitch them together. Clean them up and then do a faked camera move around them.....

Well I've decided to re-capture the footage, on a tripod, and the camera will have a short pan of the area. After sitting and learning matchmover the past couple days It would really help out to go down there and get the measurements for the shot as well.
I think that would make my life a whole lot easier right now :smirk:
thanks for your help guys
