hi to all...im doing a shot of a wire removal...painting out wires with buildings has fairly become a little bit easy now..the one part where im facing a problem is the rigs and a little wires on the character's shirt..My character wears a yellow shirt with dots in it...
Now how to remove them....and maintain that same pattern in all the frames..i used the reveal tool...in frame 1 i set the reference frame as 1 and chose a nearby area and i painted..but the thing is i see some differences between frames..
now i might be able to post an image or something but im scared abt the copyright issues or something..thats why...
Please help me how to remove the rigs on tough parts like shirts or something....
Thanks in advance...

Rarely do you ever hand paint wire removals frame by frame unless you are a really good painter(there are a few) or there is a forgiving shot where the background is moving really fast (fire, motion blur, etc...).
The best way is a combination of making clean patches for the parts the wires go over, track, warp, morph the pieces to fit and fade them on/off when the wire isn't going over that section of the shot.

Hey Darkside
Basically am a wire removal Artist too
Well i came across a lots and lots of problems like this.... but what i used to do is Clone the first frame and then reveal it on further frames
if i do have further more problems i used to do a clean plate for a single image and then use a rotoscopy technique in which am fast enough to complete rather than wire removal
Better try that one.... if u further wish to do it using paint then clone the first frame in photoshop and then bring it back to combustion which will be easier technique too if u are a master in photoshop

ok...but what if the shirt moves in every frame...what abt the wrinkles...
also how will you use roto into this....please explain me..all i can basically do is use clone and reveal...sort of a newbie into this wire removal...
if u can clearly explain how to use roto i would be much thankful..
also i heard that you can use tracking into wire removal for tough shots..anyone has any brief idea about that...
thanx in advance...

a way to use roto would be to roto around the wire. Then use that matte to reveal the same footage underneath, but with a time offset, or position offset, or both. The plate showing through underneath, in the roto matte can even animated, warped, stretched if need be.

yup theta has given a gud explanation about using roto into wire removal.... just checkout the frame.... doesnt the wire moves alot in different parts of the shirt? if so u could do the reveal very easily.... if it doesnt move well enough then am sorry to tell u that u gotta clone it for atleast every 2 frames....
There is a plugin called cc simple wireremoval... u can use that plugin for further assistance.... but it ll be bit confusing for a newbie... anyway try it out.... after removin the wire apply cc arithmetic plugin to check whether u had removed the wire correctly or not.... my kind advice is dont use LUT, turn it off before workin with paint tool.... ur system will be bit slow if u use that.... instead use this plugin.... basically its an after effects plugin but u can use it in combustion too....
