I'm new in nuke and i have some problems with bezier and masks.
i don't know how to work the masks.
- how to replace a zone by transparency ?
- how to limit an effect with a mask/bezier ?
what are the proprieties to modify ???
...
can someone explain and make screenshot of a composition to show how make that ?
thx in advance

Not sure what you mean by the first question. I guess you mean what's solid and what's not. It's the standard white is solid, black is transparent.
To turn a bezier on and off keyframe the opacity.

Have a look at the following to get started.

i made that in fusion (so simple...) :

i just want to know how to make it with Nuke.

Make sure your bezier node is creating an alpha channel, then connect it into the mask input of your blur node.

Add blur node after your "read" same like your fusion flow and draw the bezier (car). You can find a tiny arrow on the right side the blur node(actually its cant shown clearly) connect your bezier to that arrow then you get the same result as your fusion flow.
always make your tree vertical.

There is no reason to always make your tree vertical if you don't want to. Tell a flame guy that. :p On big comps you'll probably find a mix of both. ;)
I also wouldn't use the mask input on the side of nodes. Especially if you're adding a useless blur node to do so.
You're better off doing it all within the bezier or with a merge node.
To do an "inside" in the single bezier node. Set the colour to black and hit the invert tickbox. Voila an inside done in one node.

If your a beginner def you will get confused while make a comp tree like "noodles" in nuke. If your experienced easily you can find the problem in which node in your "NOODLES".
He want to isolate the car and make it "BLUR" i don't think you cant do that with merge are single bezier node.

Ah yes, My bad. I only opened his first attachment which didn't have a blur. I still wouldn't recommend using the mask inputs on the side of nodes though. Better off doing what I said earlier with the bezier node.
So:
Read
Bezier
Blur
Would do an example but only have a netbook atm. :p
Unless you just want to limit the area the blur is affecting. If this is the case it's a perfect use for nukes multichannel workflow.
In the bezier node output to a new channel such as car.mask. Then in the blur node simply select mask: car.mask.
You can now reuse that car mask throughout your whole comp.

i'm sorry (truely ) but , i still can't make what i want ...
i made the first example right one time but no more
if someone could make some screenshot to show me and include text explications for the parameters if would be so nice !
thx in advance again...

Ok here is an example using the channel method i mentioned earlier. I made it with the PLE as I'm on my netbook but hopefully should work. Just copy it then paste it in your nuke node graph.
Nuke PLE mode encrypted text (normal mode uses plain text) Qg[dmPBB4Y\H8h8hGFegl_d1o14fK4hX8:9H6ETYjE^K7W6[^S]CS7?FN7c`S;_Y:PbeJ=R9gHB5oQDNmW@@b]jBB_EnjA[DRMC]AQ?6QbfR8^EV9Ca2OJND^O]CXNTVS96c6\UT4fMgoV?DG>?6IWRG4V48@TkEmmDWa_I^7TS6:kOAHllgbVN;GAbeXFo87Q[a<Rk>W;7CfHE2TboY:DPRYhC@Y6GS_;Q\CfIk_OS2Ni_8SHNViLAT=h L0W@BbUmWUHUY[D7@f26mCCE23K2?OIm7iTIb4496e?]M]>IU7ID>9S4]2E:C15FPbA=H<KH^[i?Z@Ze<mBJNM=CfcTfL?AcoLmUXSJ?8jL_SAo`=?V>XQ<GHeVhfP7LQ_]FW<FOfgB^BHW9kI9<OnaYU@ZoVP8XVMNXG]blJ]SDl3CBVOULa1JcCjlFVid1NR]]SMXNdWfBmQCINSVUh4RkEYOPJW<8gZkA_81BmJ25oWhi=bV\Uh2hgHSmBUZoS3h4BaWYlgefIi]TTCX2k0B@<=`:aceMB9UDh`QNJ<MKNcFMGnVVJoCf3_FgS@McMMWcMh0@mE8Y^L511RGf?Kg>7\?U9f]g\]k_>BVWR>X1QEMM4hU]6_hBN^cTlB2W:FldgQS;0Ga=HT]?mG5hSm`FN3ce?;Qd_@JAP`?\e579i3CK4TbgZehlZIV[l8mU0W\=<[<6cQPjLk8]39cTS[0mdhB?WSTWHI8IC]hgg51V2KEaDj;cZD9iB3fWPK

I still wouldn't recommend using the mask inputs on the side of nodes though.
Could this be a technical issue or is it merely for keeping the script clean?

I heard they use to be be unstable when I learnt nuke. Though to be honest this is probably long fixed. However, I never use them in my workflow as I never have. I like working with the channels. As you said it keeps the script tidy and as I said before you can reuse it multiple times without making redundant nodes/paths.
As you can see in the screenshot you also get a nice bit of text on the node showing what channel is masking it.
If people are using them fine now it's probably ok to use them.
