Spotlight effect on Shake

I would like to create a spotlight effect similar to the one in "Action module" from inferno or flame in surface module where you can add substract ...spotlight the layer (it is a kind of projection effect on one image from another one)

roto a circle or whatever shape you want the spotlight. Then just use the "layer" node and you can add, subtract, whatever... Add some blur for soft edges or use the "keychew" macro for a nice choke/errode the sphere and soften the edges in one.

If you're after getting one image 'projected' onto another, then try doing it with a SwitchMatte node (image in left, mask in right) before layering with the background.

If you want a perfect circle, then you could go for a RGrad node to generate the mask...
