In My Exp there is no Good Training Institute for VFX in Chennai.. All are Expecting Money Only. They wont teach Good too. Try to learn from Downloaded Videos for all. My Suggestion bcz i spent lots of Money in Training Institute Not only Me. lots of ppls. Starting they will Brainwash U to join after dat only u will know everything. In all Institutes they downloading the tutorial videos and teaching to all students. And also after finished the course Students will become Faculty. If U need Tutorials Mail me. i will Courier to You..Dont Waste Money in Training Institutes.

yes you are right .. but not all the institutes or at least not rereal. Its not at all an institute actually.. Its like a tuition center which runs by a industry guy and he training students directly and its very cheap too .. I know people who invested more than lacks and years in institute including me. But my friends done 3 month course there and now working in technicolor bangalore ..

I can think of a few places in Chennai.. Image, and Arena..
Like Vfxsri warns, you may loose your money if you don't pick the correct institute. Speak to the people who are currently studying in the institute before you join there to find out if it is worth. Do not fall for any 'Job Guarantees'.. Just make sure they teach you the correct stuff..

I also suggest you to teach yourself some basics.
If you want enter in to compositing, this book is a must!

The Foundry also recommends 'Cluster college' in Kerala and Bangalore and 'Framebox' for Nuke training.

i strongly suggest fxphd
it is a very good place to learn from and the tutors there are for sure experts in their field.
they have very strong course structure and you will have ample of choices with proper info on each one given in advance.
