WIP - Just 1 Season...
Going for desert vista next.
Software:3dsmax6 (simple snowflakes) + Combustion (all ground snow +Color Correction)

Looks really good, only crit would be that some of the snowy edges appear slightly darkened towards the ocean...almost like a "drop shadow"??
Simple snowflakes eh? I´ve been tinkering with making snow like this for a different project lately ( hey, it´s almost christmas and everyone want animated christmas cards, right? ).
Are you using multiple particle passes as snow? If so and you have the chance i would love to see one of the isolated passes!

It's just the MAX default blizzard system. Cranked up to 100000 flakes w/ motion blur on, The cam is looking into it (actually just inside of the blizzard edge.)
There is also a little wind binding to the blizzard to blow towards the cam.

Thanks for the screengrab, looks very interesting and especially seeing how the particle system uses clusters of tri´s to make depth and volume...hm...need to play with emitter models some more...

wow the snow is such a wonderful stuff,but my question is why u didn't mattapaint the hill under the snow, u just made the hill like negative layer as i think,it seemed not very well
