hey - niice pic there!
And yes, this is the right place to put it! If it had turned up elsewhere, we'd have moved it here....
(Although we may be changing this arrangement in future - still working out how we're going to be running this in future...)
I love the sky and the moody look of the tower in your pic...
The glow around the lights looks great for this kind of rain - although it does seem to cut off a bit too sharply when it gets a distance from the light - maybe fade it out slightly slower....
I do like it, though - one of my favourites so far!

Hi,
I've look at a number of WIP entrries to this challenge,
I think yours is one of the best I've seen.
I've not have a great deal of experience in Photoshop, but how do you go about producing a picture like this given the original which looks completely different ?
There are a few parts I'd like to know what you did :
How did you get the building texture to look that way ? (It looks like a painting)
How did you do the lightning and rain ? (were these particular special effects applied or did you paint them in some way?)
How did you get the Sky to look that way ?
Is this all performed using a the mouse or do you use a Graphics Tablet ?
How long did it take to produce such a picture ?
Anyway nice work.
Regards
Phd.

thx for the compliment
i try to reply to u but english is not my mother language so...
about the picture aspect, the first thing i ve done is suppressing the thing
i dont want in the image (car sky etc..)
in second came the color grading .
So i look to the light direction (which came from the far right) and relight the
building by painting dark color in multiply mode to have some shadows
then paint some highlights
Then i look to the details i ve put some windows , but i did nt like it
so i try to put a lightning and i liked it so i enhance the shadows and the highlights
and finally i try to put some rain and then interact the rain withe the objects
thats all just different tries
the lightning and the rain are painted
for the lightning i ve used some photo
ref to see how the ligtning interact with the sky (the glow of the lightning
is deadly fake but i like that way)
the painted rain is enhance by some layer of noise which i blur and displace
for the sky i dont know what to say it s just a mix of solid color some grading
and some painted clouds
i m using a graphic tablet
how long ? huuu ..hard to say
10 , 20 hours realy dont know some times i work 1/2 hour on it and then dont
work for 3 days then work 1 h etc...
if you like that kind of stuff check my website www.tchook.fr.st
commentary are in french (sorry)
if something seems obcur dont bother ask
