Hey all,
this is my first Post here...as i'm actually a 3d Artist....but i started getting into R&D a bit and this is the first conceptual implementation i came up with.
I initially posted this to the programmers Forum, but i thought it might be interesting for regular nuke users as well. If this is an unwanted double post feel free to delete it.
After i ran into walls trying to get the grasp of the maxsdk with my limited c knowledge, i just had to do something encouraging to get back on track.
Hence i created a plugin implementation of the Preetham Paper (the same Paper that was the base for VRay's sky and maxwell's sky etc) for nuke.
It aint optimised at all, but it does indeed work like a charm :)
And considering it's conceptual, unoptimised implementation i was actually surprised by the performance. Currently it renders about 0.8sec for 1024x512.

feel free to check out my nuke blog at :

I need to completely rewrite it now that the conceptual version works....but it´s a start :)
And Greetings to the dev´s and Gary at d2software who did a killer of a job in
supporting me to get kicked off!
