pretty cool reel, the breakdowns in the beginning look pretty cool

my only feedback would be that the concept art is a bit spooky and the frog in the end looks very awkward i would probably cut it

the reel looks very nice with the shot breakdowns.

1). the rocket pod when returning to earth looks good with the heat friction. However, the movement of the pod seems to slow down as it approaches earth. You had the animation going well ,but the it starts to slow down. Try to speed it up as it gets closer to earth, that way the speed of the pod matches the buiding up of heat friction on the pod.

2). I like the shot breakdowns of the submarine. Try to do some color correction on the water. It looks too bluish. Try to make it look a little bit greenish blue, like ocean water. A good example would be to watch the movie U-571.

3). The texturing of the turtle is very nice. It would be great if you could overlay your hand painted textures on a UV map. This will strengthen your reel. The professional studios always want to see this part.

4). I agree about the frog. Its animation looks weird. Improve the frog's running to make it look realistic. Right now it looks like the frog is running in slow motion. It doesn't look good. Get some animal video footage from Discovery or Animal Planet and watch how a lizard runs. Otherwise, don't put the frog animation on the reel.

5). When the green alien flipping its book and talking, show lip synch with a dialog. Same with the donkey talking. With your reel sound track over the donkey's speech, people cannot tell how well you matched the animal's mouth movement with the dialog. Some studios want to see how well you can do lip synch. That's another plus point you can add to make your reel strong.

jah - Maybe the concept art doesn´t belong here? I can cut it, and just include it on a more specific version of the reel. I´ll probably cut the frog too, thanks for the sugestion!

3dfx - 1-) I´ll try and make the capsule´s movement stronger to the end . Maybe I ended the acceleration crescendo too early...

4-) Well, the frog is actually running in a silly kind of slow motion - it´s part of the joke on the commercial - but I agree that´s not very readable out of context. Maybe I should cut the running part out of the reel, and add other shots from the film? Anyway, thanks for the suggestion
