I think it`s a combination of the After Effects Camera and Trapcodes Plugin Particular.

Maybe even more...

I don't think you need Particular for this. Carddance should be enough. Ayato described something very similiar on his page.

Mahlzeit™.

No, I can't. But I would try a card dance on a precomposed comp which contains the picture and animated dots for the masks and play around with a heavy z-offset, a noise on a solid layer(precomposed) for controlling the z-amount and camera rotation in the card dance FX. Haven't touched AE for a while so I'm not sure about the correct names though.

Dont know how to do it in AE but it looks like a particle field that rotates and has a per particle goal rgb value from last picture in crash sequense to first in beuty shoot of the car. In maya its pretty simple to do. If AE has a good particle system it should be pretty easy to make something similar.

Should be somthing like. Have two images (end picture of sequence and first in the next) make a particle system that lies over them and each particle should inherit the color from the picture behind it. Then make a animation on the particles swirling or something and finaly make them rest on the other image and inherit that pp color value instead.

Im youst a noob in AE so i would do it in maya as a clip and then post it in AE inbetween the other clips.
