At this point i want to thank all my classmates at VFS and everybody else who helped me achieving this!

looking forward to all your feedback!

cheers!

Love it! I'm a little confused though.. did you do the modelling and animation, or just the compositing? And man, credits take up half the reel! (all VFS reels I've seen are like that, though)

Are those three little dancing robots your creation as well? Anyway, I love them, they're so awesome! Especially the capoeira one!

Great work!

edit: oh yeah, what was Boujou used for? It looked like all the camera moves were done in the post.

sorry if the titles are a bit confusing... i did modeling, texturing, rigging and rough animation. for modeling i had a modeler do details on the hands and feet. and i got an animator doing a final pass on my animation.

i did the 3 dancing robots using mocap (which was kindly provided by our mentor).

and there are real camera moves in shot 1 and 3 (1 is a dolly back at the end, shot 3 is a handheld camera). unfortunately the camera moves don't really show all that well.

and for the titles, you're right. but i figured since i always show something with the titles (the mocap and the spider) it wouldn't be too boring.

thanks for the comments!
Bernhard

nice work Bernhard!
Way to go man! you finally made it. Congratulations on your VFX piece. You are showing a lot of skills on your work. I have seen how much work you put int this piece, not just the matte painting, modeling, and texturing but also the particle simulations. You have come a long way!!

By the way, I love the motion capture at the end. NICE!

Congratulations!

PS. We gotta go celebrate with some german beer, and some ladies.
