Finally ;)...
Well, VFX002 proved to be more popular  I hope evreyone enjoyed... i was hoping to get my Digital Fusion skills rolling this month, but not enough time :( ...may be VFX003 ??
Sorry for keeping this open a little longer than it was supposed to, but there have been a few issues with attaching files and file sizes, so i had to hang back for some members to email me their entries ;)
Hugh will be working on some new fancy code to defeat this issue :)... everyone give it up for Hugh!!!!

it wasn't easy to vote.. but to narrow down the list i had to stick to the rules when voting.. i.e "life & dusk", but won't say whom i've chosen in order not to affect other users.

yeah it is a vit close.
but there are only a few that stuck to the rules
or my interpretation of dusk is very wrong.

If you think about it ...
It's more like 14 votes :stupid:
Assuming all 15 VFXers who submitted voted for themselves
That leaves only 14 votes deciding the winner
How many members do we have? :mwave:

I would be really curious to get some criticism for my submission, what was lacking? I am sure I am taking hits to my rating because I did a lousy job with the compression. The quality is much better on the original, but I would like to know if I have problems with believability, integration, color balance, sharpness, etc..
Please comment. I have a pre-compression still available in my WIP for comparison.
Thanks,
David S. Perkins

Some excellent submissions.. I really enjoyed watching all of them! One critique I have for most of you.. Please put your name in the name of the file, like vfx002.aruna.avi or something, so that when all the files are on the desktop, you know who did what! :D
Now.. I'm going to have to look at them all again, and see who did what. :)
Cheers for all the good work guys. I voted for technical merit as well as originality..
Can't wait to see what shows up for vfx003. :)

I also would like to get some input on my entry.I know it doesn't come close to the dusk defenition but some critiques would be welcome. Some of them were pretty cool.

indigoFX : sent you a PM.
emo : you are disabling Private messaging, i just wanted to tell you that your idea was really cool & it gave me a good laugh, but my comments are :
1-the church take off was too steady, & it was not even shake a bit after explosion.
2- how come the trees nearby aren't affected by the explosion.
3- after the take offthe church stopped in air.
but i liked the church leftovers (the lower part of the church), it was done really good. also the explosion reflection on water was good.
the problem with this one is that all submission were cool so i had to choose the most full-of-life scene.
