Is there somewhere where I could go to get some stock footage of any kind to practice my compositing. I've used some of the 3D stuff I've made myself, but getting my hands on some blue/green screen footage would be very helpful

Oh and hey...I've been coming to the site every day for a few months and just haven't posted yet. I love the site and am totally looking forward to getting more actively involved.

me too, it seems there is one source every one is using, cause in the submission of "kilometer" for the challenge003 he used a stock fire footage used in some other video's b4.
also in the challenge002 every one was using the same footage of the bus, boat & balloon..so what is the source ?

only stock footage that I've used in my submission was
Artbeats RF103 (ReelFire 1 Ceiling Fire (http://artbeats.com/prod/clipinfo.php?id=3560&pg=1))
anything else was particles or stills
:splat:

I think that's why everyone likes matte paintings right now.. You can just grab a still off the internet and play with it, and increase your talent that way. I'm still in the process of acquiring an XL1S, so hopefully later this year I'll have some footage up for all you guys.

I still check the beginners forum. I haven't forgotten how I started learning! :D
