If I input y=1 into the velocity tab I get what I want visually, but also get an error that i cant tell if its contributing to other bugs so id rather get this part right.

Is there a proper nomenclature to use to set the 3 axis indepndently? If i just input the number 1 I get a 1 in each channels velocity with no error.

I also tried (0,1,0) and some other random guesses to no avail. Hope someone can help

thanks.

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to add dynamics (ie. wind) to the new CloudFX systems?

I've got a single, small cloud set up at the min, I've animated the noise and it's looking cool. But I'd like it to react to a wind system, and I'm going to be animating it to move down a street at head height, so I'd like the cloud to subtly break up a little as it moves down the street.
Is this even possible?

Any help would be amazing, and hugely appreciated :)

Thanks in advance :)

Hey guys,

Before I got into compositing I alwasy wanted to be an editor. I used to edit a bit, so to keep my eye in I entered a music video editing competition. A local band "Dear Rouge" shot a load of footage around Vancuver and asked people to edit their own version.

Part of the ranking process relies on likes on Vimeo. I would really appreaciate it if you could click through to Vimeo and hit like for me.

You can see other entries and make an aditional vote for me (Conrad Olson) here exposure-contest.ca/rankings/. I am currently just outside the top 10 so a few votes from you guys would give me a good boost.

Cheers,
I am just pausing the viewer and jumping to needed frames

Any insights on how people best deal with jumping from job to job in different countries would be appreciated. I know tons of people live this type of life, but I couldn't find any info/blogs on the resources people use to do this effectively.

For example, do you drive to Vancouver from L.A. for the next gig or fly there and live close enough to the facility to walk?

Do you live out of a hotel, share an apartment, rent a place for yourself?

Do you take anything with you besides the essentials and a laptop?

I would imagine most of your time is spent working, so what do you really look for in renting somewhere?
