LBL Spoon project - October 30th, 2007, 12:38 PM

it's late.. but guess i have to post it for some comments

it's pretty much the same idea for other LBL'ers. (maybe a different story but i'll leave it to your imagination)

the challenge: had a hard time to get the spec to match on the 3rd shot.
humm.. that's all i have to say about it now.

medium: Maya and AE
model : i am not to reveal the name, sorry.

anyways, thank you and please CC
P.S PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR THE MUSIC, IT PROBABLY HAVE BEEN TWEAKED WRONG.

Looks nice.

The one thing that really jumps out at me is the transition from CG to real spoon in the second shot. The reflections in the CG spoon are a lot softer than the reflections in the CG spoon.

Did you have any kind of reflection pass shot on-set for this?

Silver ball, or panoramic stills shot from the same place.... Anything that will allow you to re-create the exact reflections that something shiny in that position would be reflecting...

oh, i did that. (or how M effectionally called it a 'light probe XD )

maybe i didn't do a good job doing reflection on that
funny thing is that the ramp shader gimped out on me when we updated... and i actually have to turn one of the spec so low that the whole spune looked burned out
will look into that.

thx!
