My video's show up white - October 24th, 2008, 08:12 AM

I have a video file and a still frame. I need to figure out what frame number the still is from.

My idea was to overlay the still frame in difference mode. But when I open up the video file, it shows up white. I thought it was codec issues so I tried a bunch of random movies and video clips; all show up white. Converting to mpeg won't work because mpeg is not supported by Photoshop (extended cs3).

Googling the issue is kind of hard, I get video tutorials and black and white discussion, nothing even remotely like what I mean.

Anyone got a clue on what's making the videos white? All video works fine in Premiere and other Adobe CS3 apps.

You said the video works fine in premiere. If that's the case I'd suggest importing the still into that and finding it through premiere. Lower the opacity of the still in premiere and slide it til you find the exact frame.

Thanks for the tip. I already found my frame.

Anyway, I still like to find how to fix this. There are some video's I'd like to take through Photoshop for some manual painting on them.
