Problems with tablet - February 5th, 2010, 01:38 AM

Hallo, people.
Could some one help me withthis issue: I work in Fusion 5.3 and I use Wacom tablet pen instead of mouse. Each time when I want to click and select an anchor point of a polyline mask the anchor point jumps away from it's position and I have to position it again. The same happens with the corners of a rectangle mask and transform pivot of any msk. When I try to click it, it jumps a constant distance to the right. Interesting is that this doesn't happen when I use mouse to click points. Is there any tablet settings tab in preferencies window that I can use to solve this, or should I change something in my System (which is Windows XP)?

Thanks for help.

B

I am also having tablet issues. I got a Intuos 4 with the latest drivers using win 7 64bit. Tablet works fine in all other apps.

The specific issue Im running into is when Im trying to draw a spline. I click with the pen but the points/line is WAY off screen.
I have the Tablet in Mouse mode.

And when I use my mouse everything works just fine.

Any Ideas?

**After a little more fiddling I realized that if I tap quickly with the pen or press and dont move the pen the point is created fine, but the second I press and move the pen the point jumps far to the right.**

Don't use the tablet in mouse mode. That will solve it most likely.

Change the click settings for the pen in the wacom tablet properties (control panel) so it only left clicks when you press the button on the pen and not when you tap the nib on the pad.

I had this problem once ... search the forum, there is definitely another thread discribing the problem.
As far as I remember itīs some rare communication problem between fusion, the wacom driver and the system.

I had to switch the box, so I hadnīt the time to look very close at the problem... donīt really know if thereīs a solution by now.

Maybe just go back a few driver versions and see.

Not at home so cant try, but that seems like it may be a solution. But its one I dont want to do. That would mean changing my tablet workflow around. I prefer to tap-to-click not the hover/click settings.
I mean ALL my other apps work fine with this setting. Dont know why Fusion wiggs out.

I've been looking everywhere I can so far, havent found any other similar posts or solutions. I'll keep looking, but if you can point me in a direction that would be great.

It's your driver, possibly.

I read through the thread and there didnt seem to be any consensus as to what the cause of the problem was or how to solve it.

So I'm still lost.

I'd go with Jason's suggestion if you haven't already. He is on eyeon's tech support team after all!

If not, send details of the OS, Driver, and wacom hardware to "tech at eyeonline dot com" and I'll see if I can replicate it.
