Realflow difficulty -

Hey,
I just imported a animtion into RF from Maya but what it does in RF is in the viewport it displays the details of the imported file which disables me to look at whats happening behind.Being a new user I cant get a option to hide these viewport details. Can anyone tell me how to hide them?

I solved this by going to the preferences-display & turning off the display info none

I have imported a car animation from maya into RF but the car has been imported as parts.I cannot select the whole car,it gets selected in parts.Now wen i add an emitter to this car it doesnt simulate & no particles are seen.I tried the fill object emitter but since the car cudnt be selected as a whole it was not working.I want to fill the car with fluid so tat it looks as if the car is built of fluid.Plz guide

Hi,
Just ensure you have done these:
-Combine the entire car in Maya and export the animation as an sd(while doing this make sure you have saved an original version of ur file).
- export non-smoothed geometry to realflow.
-Check for other mesh complications in the car geometry in maya.

I have imported a animation of my car in sd format but wen i open it the wheels go sumwhere & the car body goes sumwhere.I even tried importing both the animations separately but didnt work. is there any way i can import my complete animation perfectly including the camera?

Hi,
Did u try combining it??The camera comes automatically if u r in cam view while exporting the animation to rf..!

Yes i did everything but it doesnt seem to work.Since i have to make different mesh for the car body & wheels i am importing them seperately & then i'll comp them later.U have any idea how to use fill object?i am trying to fill the car body but no matter how high i keep the resolution it does not fill it completely & then finally the RF hangs.Thanks for the help.

just merge all car in one big ugly mesh and fill up in realflow,grab some coffee and sit your ass.
Lower the steps to speed up sim
Also push up the number of particles

and try to see the scale of you car in Maya, cause you might be importing a giant car into real flow and you cant see it, so you have to zoom out a lot etc....
so dont forget , scale its the base of the perfection in real flow sims ... allays try to go with real world values 1st, then change the values to archive the motion you want....

You can change the scale of all scene inside realflow also.Im a lazy bastard i always scale in realflow

Hey Krizard...The scale is fine I reduced it in maya.I am trying to use fill object with a resolution of 12,particles 5000000,fill volume is checked to yes, 300 frames but still the car body is not filling, it fills say just 10%.is there any other way tat i can fill the geometry?
Georgeivan...i tried to do wat u suggested but in vain.any other suggestion wud be helpful.

the fill emiter works filling the object at frame 0,do you have selected the object in the emiter dialog?
Also check if its to 1 in XYZ

yes i have selected the object in emitter dialog.Wat does particle layer do?coz wen i change it to yes the whole car body fills but then wen i try making the mesh it doesnt create the mesh.
