why are you attacking this thread?
why so jumpy and cut up!!!???
You have never worked for us before.
so, either take it or leave it.
But please dont use your insecurities & bad experiences to sabotage an opportunity for others. We see what you are doing.
This is a real project that a lot of time & effort invested into it.

You know nothing about the project, or who is invloved, who is championing it, or where it is heading.
but at least now, we all know you.

professional hard working people dont post hate mail. they either dont like the post, leave it and move on, or look at it as an opportunity, get involved, get their head down, prove themselves, and produce work and easy-going attitude, and we will remunerate.

Its the frustrated ones in between that are all noise...but no real talent.

for your sake, please do not sit on the fence pointing, bickering and cut up at others. Invest your time to create and prove yourself, then you will be rewarded with paid work.
You are not the hub of the universe...

Wow, I was going to do as you said and move on past this thread. But, I think you should read your own post back to yourself. Not a very professional manner.

If you noticed Donald is in fact an extremely talented individual. A quick glance at his signature and you would see he is in fact a working professional at Luma pictures! (Who have worked on features such as X-Men and the Harry Potter series.) You also would of been able to get to his showreel which is also of a very high quality.

I'm not a moderator or anything but I think that was pretty out of line. As perhaps were there comments. But, we do see this kind of thing a lot and you're the one who is asking for help.

However you are asking for alot for nothing. The kind of thing you described is usually achieved by massive teams of people working at a large facility where everyone has a speciality.
How would you like if if I came to you and asked you to develop a show for a differed payment?

O, and one last one that I just noticed on rereading the post.

Quote:
You know nothing about the project, or who is involved, who is championing it, or where it is heading.
No we don't so why should we commit hundreds of hours of time to it? Maybe you could expand and give us some more information? About yourselves, your track record and the project.
That statement can also be easily inverted. You know nothing about anyone here or where they're heading.

Also you should update your site. When I was looking at this offer I checked it out and I saw that the copyright is 2006. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence that you're an highly active company.

It's worth having a look at this video too (explicit language). Please don't take the video as in an insult and see the humour in it.:

If you are a company that paid money, you wouldn't bicker back to a bunch of anonymous VFXtalkers like a grade-schooler, because I would assume there are more important matters, like actual work\

Also.

I agree whole-heartedly. Except in this case, (and there are thousands more on the job lot) being so snippy to people while simultaneously asking for labor, specifically on 1 job that at least in a few studios I know pays a very enjoyable rate: These things need to be exposed for what they are.

I have never worked freelance for a paid gig. All of the experience I got was from free deals that helped me learn. But geeze, it wasnt 15 minutes worth of massive delivery...

If you indeed have a "Top Tier" cast already attached, then sell the project based on that. It's much easier to raise money will a name star attached than with a promo trailer.
