
VFXTalk is pleased to announce our first dedicated Visual Effects User Group Meeting! We will be hosting the meeting in Sunny Southern California on Sunday, September 9th, 2007 from 1pm to 4pm at the Santa Monica Library!
The meeting will be focused primarily on visual effects and will cover both 2D and 3D compositing. In addition to the latest tricks and tips, we will be showing off the latest demo reels from some of the industries leading visual effects artists and the facilities they work for.

We are in talks with quite a few top production houses and so far we have guest speakers lined up from Digital Domain, who will be demonstrating how they pulled off the amazing effects they created for Flags of our Fathers.
The VFXTalk Usergroup Meetings are for users and so they will be kept simple so that anyone can attend and get the most out of it - so no long boring technical papers, just a great place to network and meet other visual effects artist in the industry! And since it's open to the public, anyone can attend!
