"Triumphal Arch of Orange" - 3d modeling
Software: Maya

Arch shaped building with pier on the right side, is actual model of Triumphal Arch of Orange, to blend arch with entire harbor environment I decide to add staircase that becomes a part of pier. I like using idea of adding additional elements to existing structures, and making them more stylized or change environment completely. It gives best results in cases if scene with actors needs to be filmed at actual stricture location, surrounded with green screen and then later on composited with mattepainting.

The Triumphal Arch of Orange (French: Arc de triomphe d'Orange), originally arch was build by order of Marcus Agrippa, but later in 27AD reconstructed by Emperor Tiberius. Arch of Orange is my favorite roman arch and I always wanted to use its shapes and beauty in my artwork, especially as 3D model.
