you cud also use merge node for two rotopaint shape and set the mode to mask/matte
track ur single shot of the car headlight back on to the car...n use lens flare if you have to enhance it.
here have a look at this tute might help..it also deals with putng ur headlight bak on...
in that case..
probably shoot with low intensity headlight on the coming car..and later enhance them in post/or completly do it in post.
trcking a car light back on to it...

u cud also probably shoot in day and go for a day-night conversion... tracking the light or flare back on to the headlight..might give u good trackpoints.

duplicate ur layer and try using the glass filter togetther with a say..lightsweep in screen mode
and as vivapower said try using sky for ur refctions...

u wud never get the same lighting u do in maya inside of nuke though in 6.2 u can acheive shdw and reflection ..(yet to try that myself)
what u can do in nuke is u can tweak ur lighting or re-light...
u can import ur light positions via locaters then load them onto ur axis node in nuke..
u cant get ur maya lights into nuke...
what exactly u want to do..?

obj or fbx wud give you geometry only..u ll have to wrk with textures separately
