So I'm cleaning up my plate and decided to clone tool some extra stuff. But I can't get it to follow the camera movement.
I used a tracker node and im dragging (with shift) the translate from the...
I hope this site picks up again... it's a ghost town right now!
Hey guys, I created a facebook page dedicated to promoting short films. I created it basically as a library for me and anyone who likes the page to have access to great short films! Sneek a peek!...

Hey,
I was wondering if Nuke has some kind of note-taking capability that you could put close to a group of nodes you're working with and write some info /to-do/ detail list?
Great work! I hope you guys manage to do this for other software as well!

Hey.
I would like to recommend updating the Industry Production Houses Index (http://www.vfxtalk.com/forums/90-Industry-Production-Houses), especially in the main markets like UK, Canada, Germany...
I think it's good to know 3D if you are a compositor, though you don't have to have as much skill as a 3D artist. You should know about render passes, creating some basic figures, testing, things...
I believe a compositor should have basic knowledge of 3D in order to do their job properly. However, which 3D package should it be?
Hey!
Good reel, but you should get more work in there (I gather you just graduated).
Maybe the editing could be more interesting. Example: we don't need To see the whole pan in the parking lot...
Your compositing and Matte skills are excellent and so tasteful! Really, really well done!
Truly amazing job.
I was wondering how can practice Nuke? i've done tuts and everything, but I don't really have material to practice with.
What do you recommend?
Radders, thanks for the reply. I see what you mean by it not being part of VFX, but I still feel it has a place within the community (it's still post production, and could bring in some new users...
In my opinion, AE is best used as a 2D animation / Motion Graphics / Title sequence software. I think it's a terrific tool for all those, be it in Hollywood or no budget productions.
because it is...
Hey,
It'd be pretty cool if we could include an Editing category, much like the 3D area (or any other really) on the forum, where people could discuss specific software (Final Cut, Avid,...
I think I might try and find a Post-Grad in visual effects in LA. Any ideas?
I live in lisbon, portugal.
I know Gnomon is really good, but its sooooo expensive...
I really want to find a place (if i feel i need it after fxphd) in LA where i can work at my craft...
I'm also considering Gnomon, but it is really really expensive! I think i gonna invest in FXphd and after that see where it leads me..
Hey guys,
I'm thinking of moving to LA and studying there visual effects (compositing, motion graphics).
What are the best places to study?
Meanwhile i'm going to do some fxphd courses.

Just saw it! it came out on the 29th here in Portugal. Really enjoyed it, although it may throw some people off because its much more about Tony than about Iron Man.
I though it was a really good...
