Here's a tutorial for Maya and one for Lightwave, maybe between the two you will achieve what you are attempting in Max.

I would definitely suggest www.3d-palace.com and www.3dbuzz.com You can also look at simplycg.net, they have 3D/CG competitions and there seem to be alot of Maxers over there.
I'm not familiar with Vue, unfortunately, but you can try some HDRI to give it some realism. Your walls are too clean they need some moss, dirt, moisture. Another thing you can try is projecting...
I just downloaded the demo. Nice big work area/layout but the demo feels very limited. My guess would be a demo issue also.
Wow JesterJJZ that was slick! VFXTalk Oracle, with this "something special in mind," would you suggest not doing a spoof/funny Transformers trailer?
Thank you Dreamie, it's very appreciated.

I suggest www.digitaltutors.com for free and tutorials you can purchase. Beyond them you can try Gnomon.
Nice! I look forward to the US version.
LOL...you might want a second camera on yourself, be a shame if you caught yourself on fire and didn't have the footage. Seriously though that's great that you're making your own footage. What kind...
Nice previz! Where did you get the motorway and cars? Also I think day or night is up to you however Ghost Rider doesn't become Ghost Rider until night.
I like the head lamp flicker too.
Am I missing something? It reads I have to log in to download it.
I decided to go ahead and start working on my MBA this spring. I'm hoping someone here might have some input as far as which direction to take it. I love VFX, cg or otherwise and would like to no...

That was great I love the camera work.
Anyone here know or have an idea what some feature films have paid in outsourcing their rendering? It does appear to be the trend whether its rendering or vfx/animation.
Very nice work sketchy. I really like the style.
Wow! I guess this means I have to actually seek out other people/noobs that are into vfx. I'm in the mid-west...anybody out there...there...there...
Nice work guiillt. Is the bridge all polygon?
Well since teams have been approved and I don't work at a studio, hrrmmm...I think I'll be teaming up with turbosquid. A Macmini for $239 whatta deal. I kid...I kid.
Ohhh yeah...a tie, that would mean...what? Maybe a the great "Key Off." Well, I definitely voted for one of the two. Perhaps if it is a tie the decision should be based on who creates the best VTM...
Very funny, looks like it was fun to set-up and put together.
