when i worked on flame i had this nifty avg button which would average the frames across time. it was particular handy for those times when you have chattering paint-strokes. my shake workaround has been to render the clip file it in again speed up the timing in blend mode render that, file it back in and slow it back down to the original speed. the process is giving me the desired results but its annoying because now i have multiple pre-renders to deal with. does anyone know of a better way of doing this, or possibly a macro that handles it.

You can set the retimeMode to "Blend" and then increase the range value without actually changing the timing. Keep speed at 1, but increase range.
The only time you should have to prerender for this technique is if the image is moving. Sometimes you stabilize it, prerender, read it back in and frame average it, then reapply the tracking info as a matchmove.
