    I never really cared about this before but the other day I was bored so I decided to setup Nuke .nk scene files so they could be opened by double clicking on them under Linux. This tutorial is geared towards Gnome but it should work on KDE etc.

    Even though you can right click on a file and set the "Open with" options this method allows you to use the Nuke icons for scene files along with setting up the "Open with" options.

    I had to replace the xml text for Overrides.xml in the tutorial because vfxtalk wouldn't display the text because it was trying to parse it instead, this happened when jah moved this thread into the tutorial section.

    I tried to search for a no parse tag that would work but wasn't able to find one so I just replaced it with a image from when it was in the regular Nuke forum. If you are lazy and would like somehow to be able to copy the Overrides.xml text instead of having to typing it out I have posted this tutorial on the NFXPlugins website, its located under Downloads/Tutorials.

    did you try the php code tags in the advanced editor? its the little icon next to last in the icon list or just php and /php in square brackets...

    PHP Code:
    <?xml version-="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    HTML Code:
    <?xml version-="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

    Actually I did see the php tag but I thought it was for entering php commands. Maybe you guys could edit the css for the php tag because at the moment its pretty hard to read anything entered with it. I did a preview of my post with it and it was difficult to read.
