Looking for Matte Artists and VFX Animator –
Matte Artists and VFX Animator needed for green-screen project, (expenses only)
Last year TKS shot a short film entitled '…' (aka Ellipsis). The film is an ambitious, independent, philosophical 3 min short which takes place in the afterlife, and principally deals with issues of how death is unknowable to us, and how it is normally spoken about only in words that were invented by humans to discuss concepts which are also human constructions.
The actors were beautifully lit and shot against a green screen, with the idea being that all the backgrounds would be animated in afterwards (the film essentially takes place within the headspace of the lead character, and so the idea is that the style of film reflects this fact). The film has been edited, but our VFX artist & animator has recently had to depart from the project due to personal reasons. As a result we are now looking for artist’s and an animator (or animators) to help us with the project. The film was shot on MiniDV on an incredibly low budget, and unfortunately we're only able to offer expenses (of course, on screen credits and a copy of the finished film will be provided). Originally the film was intended to be completed in 3D Maya animation, but we're now open to ideas from any type of artist or animator who might be interested in coming on board the project (models, cel, etc). Although we are based in London, we are open to accepting applications from anywhere within the UK. Once the film is completed it is hoped that it will travel the festival circuit.
