The idea that we came up with was something hard to track via (your software 3d camera track here)

I have to admit even with the tape it’s a bitch

Does anyone have any tips or tuts on motion tracking. I've never tried it before and am haveing trouble making it look right. Do you have to do it frame by frame?
I'm using combustion by the way.

If you're using Combustion you might have to track frame by frame

Sorry 'bout that, couldn't resist. But seriously, Combustion has - to my knowledge - quite a good tracker installed and should give you some decent results. I can't help you set it up, since I don't know C* but consult the docs and you'll be fine

Hey, Trenz...I'm afraid it's gonna be very hard to obtain good results without real 3d-tracking for this footage. When the camera pans like that the perspective changes on all scene elements, making it a pain to achieve something believable i Combustion only. Am I the only one that thinks, that we're gonna see a lot more 3D in this challenge than previously?

So your saying you should use 3dmax to do the tracking instead?

I'm with you. I won't be in this particular challenge (other projects in the works) but this one looks like an Icarus candidate if ever I saw one. (Loved your "little car" vid by the way!)

Aside from some heavy 3D, I'm not sure exactly what sort of stuff to DO with something like this. Anyone have ideas? Again, I'm not competing in this one so I'm not looking for any ideas to thief, just curious to know what other FX artists think they could do with this to achieve a "scary movie" quality.

    Hm.

    Just had an idea.

Maybe I will get in on this after all. I need the Combustion practice!
