    Hi!
    I have a new one:
To make it simple, there is a merge with 2 loaders of footage of the same length. I want footage A to run reverse. So I put a timespeed node between the loader an the merge an on the speed slider I type "-1".
Ok, itīs running reverse. But now Footage A starts on the second frame and the merge gets no input on first frame. Whats that?! And how can i get this footage back on the first frame?

wow that sounds quite strange.. check all of the merge's node characters, the problem is definitely on the merge. Mind posting it?

Use the offset in the timespeed node.

naaa. its not that easy. If i use the delay and set it to "-1" itīs ok in the start. But then Iīm missing a frame in the end.
You can trie it yourself with an easy flow with 3 or 4 nodes. timespeed set to -1 swallows 1 frame. Somehow funny.

have you set the global range to extend further than the length of the shot?

why do you use a timespeed? why not check "reverse" on the loader directly?

Pingking, this is not the place to get practical is it now? Djeesh... Getting easy results like this takes the fun out of finding complicated workarounds. I was just about to write a 100-line Fusionscript to do this.

    Well thats a thought, too.
But the problem still remains if I want to reverse by 50%. Or, well, I could reverse in the loader and then slow it down by timespeed.
My way in the meanwhile was using the timestretch. Itīs a tiny bit more work, but who cares?

To Shadowmaker: Working on the global length didnīt work out...

Fincher - just for the heck of it. Set the global in to be -1. I got it to work that way. I have no idea why this is, but it works for me.

that works. but iīm losing 1 frm. īcause when it slips back to -1 i still can only use the region between 0 and (end-1)
call me greedy, but when im doing 95 shots (like i am) and edit them back together 95 frms are quite something.

No you won't lose a frame. Which version of Fusion are you running? I can make you a comp that shows you should be fine.

Try this one. Remove the *.txt extension and you should be good to go.
I've tried this with a text+ tool which is valid over the whole range.
In your case you'll probably have to work with the 'hold first frame' or 'hold last frame' settings of your loaders. It's a bit of a pain, but it works pretty well once you figure it out.

    Hope this helps.
