    hi,

Working with Digital Fusion 5.2 i found that when i use a loader to import a still image, and then add some operators in the flow, when i try to trim the layer the GLOBAL IN and the TRIM IN at the control tools doesn't work. The only way i found to do this is to trim a merge operator that i added after or add a dissolve node with a solid transparent and animate it. Anyone knows a much easier way to do this????

Have you set the hold first (or last) frame or loop the footage?

This happened to me the other day too, the glow tool on a still image was turning off after frame 14, until I noticed that the tool needed to be extended in the timeline, because it was affecting the layer according to the original settings, not the "hold last frame" setting that I applied after I applied the glow.

    Hope that helps.

Holds are set to cero and the loop option is activated. This are the default settings fusion set when i import the image.

I am not sure why it isn't working for you. In theory it should. But it's hard to tell without a sample image or a sample comp. Why do you need to trim the layer? You're probably merging it somewhere anyway. Animate the blend slider there.
Or use the hold first/last option instead of loop. It's more versatile anyway.
Any chance of posting the comp?

These are the images of the flow

this is how i fixed the problem. A dissolve node, a transparent bg and animating foreground slider

and finaly these is the loader settings that don't work at all.

buy the way, this is my first fusion comp. I'm migrating from combustion!

    i hope this will help.

    thanks
