    Hey all

I've been battling recently to create burning text. I've got the fire down pretty well, but had problems setting it up so it would emit from the text (using Text+ tool).

I had given up, when I decided to watch the Eyeon 21 reasons video & low-and-behold it was demonstrated that by attaching the text+ tool to the input of a pEmitter (pretty sure it was just a pEmitter) you could achieve burning text. Hhmm, I thought, but the pEmitter doesn't have an input, the pImageEmitter does. I tried it using the pImageEmitter but no luck.

Is there a way of getting fire to emit from text?

In your pEmitter tool choose Bitmap in the REGION TAB
THEN pipe your text tool in the Bitmap input of the pEmitter

You might also want to set the Alpha Threshold slightly above 0, so that particles aren't generated by transparent pixels.
