    HI:

Anybody knows a good way or a tutorial where I can learn how to find camera lens and position about a photo or a video ???
I want to add an object and I need to know the exact info of the cam that has shot the scene.

I have found just one tutorial from FX Guide but is not completely clear.

I understand the matchmoving process but I need to create the cam correctly where apply this data

    Thanks

Man... One post would have been enough.

If you understood the match moving process you would also know that a camera's lens and position are not absolutely necessary pieces of information for a successful track. Sure, it can greatly help though 90% of match moving I do doesn't use this information at all.

Best advice I could give you would be to jump on a pftrack or synth eyes course over on fxphd.com or gnomon (I think they run some). As you'll benefit not only from the knowledge but the project files & general submersion in a community of pro-active learners.

Well they're not essential ALL the time but they're a very big help when your tracking software is having problems.

That sort of info should always be recorded during filming. The fact that it isn't is not a good thing.

Actually there is a free video for PFHoe Pro that might help you out at cmiVFX.com

Or you can go right to http://www.cmivfx.com/pftrack/pft_01/default.aspx

to start working on advanced tracks, zdepth extraction and image based modeling from camera animation extraction.

the free video is right in the cmiPlayer (link) off the home page.
