    Hi everybody,

    i've tried installing Nuke 5.0v2 in Ubuntu 8.04 64 bits and simply can't.

    I go to the directory where the file is located and write the following;

    sudo ./Nuke5.0v2-6380-linux-x86-release-32-installer

    and I get this;

    sudo: unable to execute ./Nuke5.0v2-6380-linux-x86-release-32-installer: No such file or directory

    do you guys know what i'm doing wrong?

    What does the help files say?! otherwise I would presume that The Foundry can help!

    your best bet is to contact The Foundry as stated above.
    It sounds stupid but check the filename is right... if so then just rename it to something smaller and/or Maybe try running it root not sudo?

    As has been said, make sure that the file actually exists in that folder, with that exact name. Then, I would say double check that it is set to be executable. To make it so that anybody can run something, just use the command

    chmod a+x (filename)

    Which means roughly
    CHangeMODe for All users, (add) eXectute permissions to (filename)

    Not sure about Ubuntu but I just installed Nuke 5.0.v2 32 today in fedora 8.

    I just extracted the .tgz in my home folder and double clicked on the installer icon and everything worked out fine.

    Or a bit easier is to just right click the file in a file browser and set the file perms in the file properties window.

    nrgy, ha ha... You know, that's probably true. I always go for what *I* think is the easiest, most straightforward solution, rather than what a *reasonable* person would think is the easiest, most straightforward solution.

    Ummm, pesky kids... Get off my lawn!

    It's a 32bit Nuke. Ubuntu needs ia32-libs to run it. Try this:

    sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
