I do not believe this is possible.

I've used my tablet to control my PC through remote assistance but that doesn't carry over the pressure sensitivity. And it's a bit laggy.

Oh, and that screen mapping where the tablet surface equals the screen drives me nuts. I always switch it back to mouse mode because I can't stand the pointer jumping around on me every time I move my hand.

I use a Wacom Graphire 4 and it works fine. I've never been able to tell the difference between a Graphire and an Intuos, so a cheapy works fine for most circumstances.
HA! that makes us two! I cant stand a tablet. I tried wacoms at every other shop I worked at and Im so much faster with a nice (wireless) mouse. The mapping mode annoys me beyond relief for the same reasons. Im aware my wrist will maybe get some crack but ive been using a mouse for close to 20 years now daily and im free of the tunnel thing so far

I recently picked up a Intuos4 (god bless student discount ) and I have to say I absolutely love it.

The mouse feels so slow and clunky now.

I just joined the tablet club today. A coworker has been bringing his bamboo in to the office, so I picked his brain about it. On his reccomendation, I decided to get one. So far, it seems pretty nifty. The biggest Issue I have so far is that tablet + dual-monitors = annoying. Squashing the area of two full monitors onto the bamboo seems worthless. And, even with a bigger tablet, I'd probably find the insane aspect ratio too frastrating. So, I currently only have my left monitor mapped to the tablet. I may move to relative movement mode instead of absolute positioning so I can avoid having to switch to the mouse for the other display.

Does anybody know if two bamboos works with a dualhead setup? If I could use one pen and have one tablet mapped to each display, I think that would eliminate my need for a mouse.

I have a 22" widescreen and a 19" standard monitor setup. I find the mapping to be fine. I guess you get use to it after a while; muscle memory etc.

If you get the new intuos 4 which I have there is a hotkey on it to cycle through: both screens mapped to tablet, screen 1, screen 2.
As I said though I don't really have a problem with the mapping with this config; if I had 2 widescreens not sure I would find it so easy though.

O I have a medium too so can get an idea of the size.

If you had 2 tablets of the same generation the pen should transfer across fine. Though you'd be better off getting one intuos4 with the hotswap button if you could stretch to it (it's the cost of 4 bamboos I think ). As it's a more sensitive device, it's larger and has the nice OLED hotkeys .

Yeah that's my view too. The accuracy just isn't there for a big display. How do you hit a 10 pixel wide spinner on a nearly 4k display translated down to a 9" tablet? Even the slightest hand jitter translates into like 5 pixels of fluxuation.

With a mouse I can increment the pointer by single pixels without any trouble... and hold it there. I can also pretty consistently stay almost perfectly horizontal give or take one pixel.

It's different strokes for different folks. Some people will prefer mouse strokes and others will prefer tablet strokes.

For me it's usually a tablet. Less wrist ache and a faster working speed. But I'm not everyone!

This is why you wouldnt use a bamboo in work that would require precision. At that point you would grab the intuos as the bamboo is good for little things. I had the old one (graphire or graphite) dont remember the name, but it was the $99 deal and I didnt like it. That turned me away from wanting to get the larger one. After they released the intuos4 I said eff it.. I'll try it.. Couldnt be happier..

    1. as previously stated, you could have the hotkey switch between monitors so you dont have to stretch 2 monitors into 1 tablet. Basically the tablet is relative to 1 screen. Want to go to the the other? press the button.. I have a dual monitor setup and thats how I do it. Works fine for me.

    2. Intuos has a "precision" key. So if you need to move a pixel at a time, press that and u can move as such.

I personally love my intuos4 (medium) and my only issue is sometimes in Cinema4d, but being that I'm fairly new to it, I just need to get my mapping situated. To me it feels "quicker" and "lighter"
