    Hi,

I'm trying to get into plugin programming with nuke and Visual Studio Express 2008. I did quite a lot of java and python, well pipeline stuff mainly, and now i want to try something else. There are of course some questions. Maybe there is someone who can answer them.

-Is there any learning ressource other than NDK doc, tutorials, dvds etc.?

-I tried to compile Nrgy's examples with VS2008 but there were a lot of errors. Are they just for linux?

-Should I start programming with linux? is it easier?

    Thanks

A lot has changed in the NDK api since my first examples so they probably won't compile without minor changes. Things like ChannelSets and ChannelMasks are on example.

As for VSE 2008 I would suggest you get 2005 since that is what Nuke is compiled against, I've had nothing but issues trying to compile with 2008.

Stringkeeper! I'm in the same boat as you... having done a fair bit of Python and general TD work; I'm interested in learning C++ and the NDK package.

I'll send you a message as I'm curious as how you're finding it so far.

*edit* Can't send you a message, but can anyone give me a quick idea of how tough C++ is to learn for the purpose of working with the NDK? I've got basic python under my belt, so hopefully this wouldn't be too much of a challenge.
