  1. #1 Student grad. Matte Painting reel
Hello all. First time posting here. I am graduating after this semester and cant wait to move on to find a job in the real world. I've just completed my first demo reel along the lines of matte painting. I did want to replace a shot in the reel with a more up to date project of mine but did not have the rights yet to show to the public. C&C welcome!

Reel is FLV so wasnt sure if I could post it. to see the reel please go to

    Thanks,
    Steve

Really nice. I felt it was a little bit long, but the camera mapping stuff was pretty good. Congrats and good luck on finding a job. Let us know when you get swept up by a loving studio.. haha

Thanks everyone!! Hard work pays off.. ha. I'm going to start applying as soon as I get a few letters of recommendation because every little bit helps. I will keep the community up to date if and when i'm lucky enough to be brought in by a studio.

Dotcommer- I do agree with the time, i was aiming for nothing over 2 minutes but time flies when you put it the footage and those breakdowns and I really ran out of options to shorten it. I did speed up some breakdowns to get it just below 3 minutes but any more of those short cuts would make it look a little off. Thanks tho mate.

Thanks again guys... Just want to update you on my job hunt. I did land a job at a VFX firm in PA (usa) called DIVE led by a 14 year vfx supervisor from digital domain. Looks to be a great gig!!
