I like the older layout style for nuke ( i think its preset #2), but it automatically fills up the entire screen with the UI and doesn't give the option to drag it around. I want to place this whole UI on my second monitor. Is there a way to force nuke to place the UI on the second monitor on startup, or at least a manual way to do this every time i start it up?

If something similar to this is in another thread, link it to me. Thanks.

here are a few simple steps to do this

    Step one Open nuke

Step two, navigate to the help menu and select Documentation

Step 3 open the Nuke users guide pdf (you may need adobe reader for this

Step 4 navigate to page 75

Step 5, read page 75, I also highly recommend reading the roughly 70 pages preceding as well as the roughly 400 pages afterward as well, they may come in use some day.

i just set up my workspace and saved it as a default layout! Opens fine on my box every time. alt+s to shift onto 1 screen.

Tell me guys , a bit off the point but , are you using Nuke on mac/pc, windows /linux/os???

What's the best platform for optimum performance! Im currently using nuke in OSX and seems to run great except when i have enormous node trees and i have to pre-render!

Damn you Aaron, I wondered if you would wander in here and slap me with the manual... haha.

But yeah, all of you have answered my question. Thank you. Now I'm off to RTFM to make aaron happy.
