Hi, Im trying to render a sort of nebula type created with fluid but im having problems with the alpha, when I bring in my render into after effects and choose premultiplied, it takes away al the color. I have tried also using that as a alpha trackmatte of a straight image but its chews a lot of my actual image, does anybody know a way around this, or how to proper render the fluid with a proper alpha????

thanks in advance to anyone that can give me a hand.

Hey Gero, I'm not sure if this might help, but I'll shout it out anyways. I had similar problems in Shake when I tried to comp a Maya fluid effect over a real landscape. The solution that helped me was in the render options. I don't know if you've done this, but you can uncheck a premultiplication option. If you're using Maya Software to render, the option is found under the drop down menu Render Options. If you're using Mental Ray, it's found under Frame Buffers. I know that this helps with removing the black outline fluids have when you render them, let me know if helps you with the "graying" issue.

when you bring maya IFFs into After Effects choose Unmatted rather than premultiplied.
