    Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a few shots for wire removal...most of the shots are straight forward and easy, but one of them is giving me problems. Essentially what I'm trying to accomplish is to clone brush bits of the areas I need to get rid of and each bit needs to be on a separate layer to which I can track to the movement of the main footage.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get multiple layers painted and then tracked to the background footage. I've tried creating separate branches with masks with no luck. One thing that bothers me with combustion is the fact that within a paint layer each stroke gets "recorded" and is put into the paint branch. This results in 400+ strokes depending on the complexity of the footage.

Can anyone give me some pointers on where to start for this? Easiest example I can give would be something similar to a pack replacement, where in this case you would need to paint out a logo on a pack and track that painted layer to the camera movement.

Sorry if it doesn't sound very clear, it's kind of a hard one to explain.

    Thanks!

Select all of your paint strokes then nest selected layers to make a new comp out of these
then you can track all of them at one to your footage, rather than track them all seperately

dreggsy is right, you can group strokes if you don´t want to track each one seperatly.
I sujest using Motor software to optimize roto clone & paint work instead of Combustion.

Just group your paint strokes and hit the tracker.

You can also link using expressions your strokes individually, a group of strokes or even each vertex of a stroke to nulls in the composite level that will drive their position.
