You can also use the FOG node from Nuke, just use the near and far controls from the camera to control it.

I must be daft, but I cannot find the FOG node. Is it hidden somewhere? Even when I Tab and try to type FOG or ZFOG it's not there. What's it called and where can I find it? Thanks.

Hi, i'm looking for a noisy fog.

With the FOG node, i need a camera but i haven't.

I tried with the Zdepth and composite the Zdepth as a fog, it works fine but i don't have noise in my fog.

Do you know a technic? Or with a other pass form 3d to have a noisy fog in nuke?

    Thanks for your help.

Haven't tried this, but what about combining the zdepth with a noise node?

Have a look at the image below

Sometimes you're just looking at the wrong side of the table

Yep, but the problem is when the shot move... the noise don't follow

Doesn't follow the camera movement? How about using cards placed in 3D?

yes, but put a lot of card in the 3d spaces can take time... i have complex shot, like somebody runny on the top of a building and jump... The camera follow the actor!

The solution with Zdepth works but the fog is too perfect...
