    Hey Guys!

This is my third piece of work at Lost Boys, The Ghost Project. In this project we had to shoot our elements on black screen like the character (ghost), particles and fog. The location is an old Japanese cemetery located in Courtenay and the composition was done in NUKE.

    I hope you like it!

    Very nice, very nice!

I really like the different levels of depth on the smoke going through the stones in the background and foreground. The sound helps a lot to create mood and atmosphere! You did a great job integrating the different elements and matching your black levels.

    Good job!

where's the location? or you just comp by some images?

there is one thing that i feel weird, the tombstones should not look the same high as humans, no matter it's in Japan or China. If it's not for someone who is really well-known or commemorations, normally, humans are higher than tombstones. yea... it depends.

I know this is ghost project, but it just looks weird for me, maybe it's because the ghost has human shape... humm...well, just the culture thing I think. Maybe just I used to watch the tombstones of Taiwanese style. And when shot 1 turns to shot 2, the ghost's angle turns a little bit, that will be a reason let me feel the ghost looks smaller.

    otherwise, everything looks nice.

    Hey Hsuan-yi!

Actually the tombstone really ARE that big. (especially when compared to Monica!)

It's filmed in the Japanese cemetery out towards Cumberland. (Lots of Japanese came over during the coal mining days...) It's a bit of a strange configuration since in order to discourage theft of the tombstones (Most are very ornate) they have since relocated all of them into a central shrine.

Thanks for the feedback, but you should have known I'd never let a scale issue slip through any of my student projects!

    Cheers,

    M
